A documentary film, like a feature film, has a story with a beginning, a core and an end. At the professional level, the film is studied e.g. at VŠMU, VŠVU or FAMU in Prague.
DOCUMENTARY FILM – DF: two basic qualitative, stylistic and ideological approaches are: 1. reconstruction of the event (observational filmmaking form) and 2. direct reporting from the event. In DF, the truthfulness of the context, the accuracy of the facts, the overall balance and objectivity of the view, but also the professional dynamics and camera and editing style are important. The director – RDF – of the documentary film is responsible for the resulting dynamics and the aesthetic or content components of the work. The RDF manages the work of the film team together with the producer and the production team; for example. screenwriter and dramaturg, cameraman, editor, lighting, props, assistants and many other components mentioned in the credits on the screen.
